This is Part 1 (Defining Your Style) of my new style guide, designed to help you build a wardrobe that feels like you. Part 2 is focused on dressing for your body. Subscribe to stay up to date as each new part is released.

Why do so many of us feel lost in our closets despite being the ones who bought everything inside of it?

Most of us don’t struggle with not having enough clothes. In fact, many of us have closets that are full. Yet somehow, getting dressed still feels overwhelming, frustrating, or uninspiring.

The disconnect usually isn’t about quantity. It’s about clarity.

Most wardrobes are built over time through impulse purchases, trend-driven buys, sale finds, or pieces that looked great in the moment but didn’t necessarily align with how we actually live or how we want to present ourselves. Individually, those pieces might be beautiful. But together, they often don’t tell a cohesive story.

And when our wardrobe doesn’t reflect who we are, getting dressed can start to feel like we’re putting on a costume.
